Hello all mommas out there!
Here’s a little about me…My name is Jenny. I’m the wife of an Ag teacher and a mom of 3 (boy/girl twins, plus another boy). We are a church going, God loving family, who owns a small farm in Ohio.
Crafting and DIY projects have always been my hobby, mainly because I like to pinch a penny when I can. But I’ve always had a love for writing! I would spend hours writing a new book or doing a book report just for the fun of it. (And just in case your wondering- I don’t think my childhood writings would make it as a #1 best seller…hehe)
However, as I got older and had more responsibilities (kids) I didn’t have the time for writing or fun DIY’s. Then as the kids got older my husband suggested I find myself a new hobby, or pick up an old one. Thus leading me to starting this blog! It was a fun way to find joy in my old hobbies, while picking up a few new ones (learning tech and creating printables)! But the best part is being able to offer tips and encourage other moms just like me! Who need that little pick me up on a Tuesday afternoon when your nerves are shot and you still have 6 hours til bedtime (if your kids let you sleep).
So I hope you find this blog helpful, encouraging, and inspiring! You are enough and you are stronger than you think you are!
About motherhood
As you probably already know, motherhood is filled with an incredible amount of questions. Like what do I feed a picky eater? What is the correct way to discipline? What kind of detergent should I use? How much sleep do the kiddos need? Should I keep my children on a schedule? (Just to name a few.)
As a mom we deal with a lot of different situations on a daily basis. And sometimes we can feel overwhelmed and unprepared. I struggle with this as well. But what I have come to find out is that there is not one single correct answer.
All three of my kiddos are completely different, including my twins. Each one responds differently to stress, fear, and even excitement. This being said, if children are different then our parenting solutions needs to be different as well. Don’t let the parenting books make you feel like the worst mom on the planet. (I’ve been there, it’s no fun.) Simply take their advice with a grain of salt, find what works for your family, then give it all you’ve got!
I most certainly have not mastered the whole parenting thing, but I have learned a few things along the way (purely by trial and error) and I would like to share them with you!
My goal is to help other moms in their journey of motherhood, through nuggets of advice, ways to entertain and teach the kiddos, and helpful printables (planners, craft templates, learning worksheets, etc…. check out my Freebie Library)!
Welcome to my site!!
P.S.- Do you remember me mentioning “printables” earlier? You can check out my FREE kids learning worksheets here! They are excellent for teaching ages 4-6 how to recognize numbers and letters. As well as how to identify colors and shapes!
