Hi ya’ll! These encouraging Bible verses are perfect for exhausted mommas! Especially on those days when you feel incredibly spent. They remind you of your purpose, build up your moral, and let you know that you are not alone!
So, Momma, I want to start off by saying- you are not alone! We all have those days (or weeks) where we have zero of anything left to give. (I am currently in one of those weeks as I am writing this.)
For some reason the kids forget how to act their age. Your “to-do” list is a mile long. And somehow all of the food in your house magically disappeared over night.
By the end of the day we feel exhausted and just want a good cry. But, I have good news! I have put together a list of encouraging verses where God says you CAN make it through this overwhelming time!
Encouraging Bible verses FOR MOMS
For when you need strength to get through the day
Philippians 4:13
I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.
This verse is perfect for those days when we are both physically and mentally drained! When we feel like we can’t take another step or even wipe another snotty nose. However, God is there to give us an energy boost. (Which is way better than any espresso!) (By the way, I am not a coffee drinker, but I’ve heard an espresso packs a powerful punch!)
Proverbs 31:25
She is clothed with strength and dignity. And shall rejoice in time to come.
We may not always feel “dignified” (especially with spit up on our shoulder). But God says differently. When we are doing what we are meant to do then God will provide the strength and dignity (honor) that we need.
ENCOURAGING BIBLE VERSES FOR when patience is thin
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a
Love is patient and is kind. It does not envy. Love does not boast, it is not proud. It does not behave rudely and is not self-seeking. Love is not easily angered. It keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices in truth. It bears all things, believes all things, and endures all things.
LOVE NEVER FAILS.
I think my favorite part of this verse is “love endures all things”. There is a lot that us moms endure on a daily basis. We play mediator, we fix the “unfixable” broken toy, and even clean pee off of the floor. (Just to name few.) However, love doesn’t keep a record and expect it to be paid back. God does the same for us! He loves us so we can love our little munchkins, even in the midst of their shenanigans.
1 Corinthians 16:14
Let all that you do be done with love.
More often than not we have to remind ourselves that we do this thing called motherhood simply out of LOVE. Our patience wears thin, our sleep schedule gets interrupted, and we feel like a broken record most days. But when your child returns that love with a simple hug, it feels very worth it!
ENCOURAGING BIBLE VERSES for daily guidance
Psalm 143:8
Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.
Not only do we entrust our life to God but our children entrust their lives to us. So, go to God on a daily basis and ask for His guidance. Because we cannot lead our kids on the right path if we have lost our own way.
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord. Thoughts of peace and not of evil; to give you a future and a hope.
This verse is so powerful!
We all have days where we feel discouraged and hopeless. And we may start to question every decision we have made in our lives. However, know that none of them have been a mistake (even though we may want to take some back). Because they have led you here- to a beautiful family. And as God states in this verse- He has plans of peace and hope for your future. So, leave your life in Gods hands and enjoy the ride!
Psalm 91:4a
He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge.
This verse rings true for those times of guidance, as well as, in times of comfort. God is our ever present comfort and protector. (For the full devotion on Psalm 91:4a click here.) No matter where life takes us or how lost we become, we will always make it home. Because we have the ultimate compass- God!
Be encouraged momma!
I hope these verses were a refreshing energy boost for your heart, soul, and mind! Stay strong and be happy momma! (Tomorrow is a brand new day!)

If you haven’t been friends with your wardrobe lately, try reading my post about the TRUE meaning of beauty- Proverbs 31:30!
Also, if you are looking for a Bible, I prefer the NKJV (New King James Version)! It keeps the beauty of the original, but also gives you a more modern day understanding.
