Hi ya’ll! When I decided to make this DIY Hanging Toilet Paper Roll Organizer I wasn’t 100% sure how it would turn out. I generally just use toilet paper rolls for kids crafts. But I needed some cheap, yet cute, ways to organize my new office. And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how well it turned out!
However, I wouldn’t recommend putting anything too heavy in it. As we all know TP rolls are not extremely sturdy. But they do work great for small paint brushes and colored pencils. You could also use it for craft supplies, such as pipe cleaners!
And even though it can’t hold a heavy load it still makes a great addition to any room. Especially since it doesn’t take up desk space!
What you need:
Materials
- 3 Toilet Paper Rolls.
- Cardboard.
- Washi Tape.
- Hot Glue Sticks.
- Rope, String, or Yarn.
Tools
- Hot Glue Gun.
- Scissors.
- Hole Punch.
- Pen or Pencil.

**Tip**- Turn on your Hot Glue Gun before you begin so it will be ready to use by Step 4.
Step 1:

Place one end of a TP roll on a piece of cardboard. Then use a pen or pencil to trace the TP roll. Repeat this step 3x.
Step 2:

Once you have 3 circles you will need to cut them out then place inside 1 end of the TP roll. You will want to be sure the circles fit snug but not to the point where it is bulging out the TP roll. If it is too snug, simply trim around the circle until it fits well.
Then you will apply strips of washi tape across the cardboard to keep it in place.
Repeat this step with each TP roll.

Step 3:

In this step you will be wrapping the TP roll with your choice of washi tape! Simply start at the bottom and wrap it around the TP roll. Cut the washi tape once you get back to where you started and repeat until the entire roll is covered.
If yours turns out like mine the last strip will be taller than the TP roll. So you will need to make small cuts all of the way around, just to the top of the TP roll, and fold each section down. This keeps your tape from bunching up in random spots.
Repeat this step with all 3 TP rolls.
Step 4:
Now we are going to attach the TP rolls together. I recommend keeping the tape seams facing the same way. So when you hang it up you can face them towards the wall to hide them.
Next you will run a bead of hot glue from top to bottom on one side of the TP roll. Then quickly attach another TP roll and hold it in place til glue begins to cool.
Repeat this step with the last TP roll.
Step 5:

Once the glue is dried you will need to use your hole punch and make a hole on the outside of both end TP rolls.
Then run a piece of string from the outside of the roll to the inside and tie a knot. Repeat with the other end of the string.

And now you have a DIY Hanging Toilet Paper Roll Organizer! Who knew a TP roll could be so pretty! 😉
