Hi ya’ll! This Paper Plate Satchel was super easy and a lot of fun to make! My daughter and I made it together; she enjoys crafting almost as much as I do!
With just a handful of supplies you can create a day full of fun!
And to add a little twist, I made a Nature Scavenger Hunt Checklist to go with this craft! Simply find the items and add them to your satchel! You can find the checklist in my Freebie Library.

What you need:
- Paper Plate.
- Ribbon or Rope. (Approximately 39 inches long.)
- Markers or Crayons.
- Stapler.
- Hole Punch.
- Scotch Tape.
How to make a paper plate satchel
Step 1:

Your first step will be to fold the paper plate in half, with the side you eat on facing in. Then you will need to place two staples on each side. One by the fold and the second a couple inches above it.
Step 2:

Secondly , you will need to cut across the open side to create an opening large enough for your child to get their hand into. I made my cut about an inch above the staple.
Step 3:

Thirdly, punch a hole on each side, slightly above the top staple. Then run the ribbon through the hole and tie it in a knot.
Step 4:

And lastly, let your kiddo get creative and design a Paper Plate Satchel they will want to show off to their friends!
You could also create more satchels for their friends and send them all on a Nature Scavenger Hunt!
