Howdy ya’ll! “They shall mount up with wings like eagles”… I think most of us would love to literally soar through the sky. When my dad was little he had a reoccurring dream about flying like an eagle. He said it was very vivid and freeing. Now let’s flip this to the spiritual sense. The Lord picks us up everyday when we call on Him. He raises us above our issues and pain. Whatever weight is pulling us down He cuts loose.
Isaiah 40:31
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

DO YOUR FEET FEEL GROUNDED?
There are many things in life, large and small, that can make us feel stuck in one place. For example, you may feel overwhelmed at work (this one is very common) and want to quit. But this is how you feed your family, so that’s not an option. Or it may be that you ran out out of gas for your mower, now what you thought was an hour job may take half of the day since you have to run to the gas station. These are two VERY different ends of the spectrum, but they can be equally as heavy.
Ask for wings like eagles!
So, maybe you are wondering what did that illustration have to do with anything? Well, my point was that the Lord will “fit you for eagles wings” no matter the situation. As the scripture says, ” they shall WALK and not faint.” Soaring is a big deal and running isn’t for the faint of heart. However, walking is something we do everyday and yet it’s such a big deal to God that He put it in the Bible to reassure us there is no situation He won’t handle!
So, I know this devotional wasn’t my normal in depth and multiple verses, it was more of a motivational devotional with added reassurance. (Maybe more so for myself today.)
We all have rough days or even rough patches. And it doesn’t matter what level it’s on it still matters to God. He hears every prayer and every plea!
So, go have yourself a fantastic day! God bless!

Also, if you are looking for a Bible, I use the New King James Version. It’s the old King James Version made simple to understand without losing the beauty of the old text!
